Miss you!

I missed my little guy while I was out of town. And I was so excited to come home and see him. It was the first time I had left him while I was away.

When I get home, he's very excited. He keeps hugging me and smiling. And saying "I love you, I miss you. I sooooo glad you're home!"

He just melts my heart.

Disney Memories...

I was out of town over the weekend for a baby shower. When J woke up from nap, he told Matt that he wanted to go back to the Nemo ride at Disney world, and also he wanted to see the dolphins in the aquarium after the ride. Then he says "but no fussing, and no crying, or no Memo ride!"

We were surprised he remembered the "rules" we had set forth since it was a few weeks ago.

Layla hit me!

He informs me that the dog hit him this morning. I replied that dogs can't hit because they don't have hands. He says "hmm. Well maybe doggies have paws. Layla hit me with her paw!"

New Cars

J got some new cars in Disney world. I asked him if he wanted to bring them over to the twins house to show them. He responded:

"No mommy! They wanna share."

Oh no, my baby!

J was eating sweet potato fries. He put a small one in his mouth and swallowed. Next, he picks up a really long fry. And pretends that the fry can talk....

"Oh no, where that baby go? Oh no, my baby all gone. In my mouth. I need to go get it."

Shoving the large fry in his mouth, the ruthless killing of the fry family commences.

Hitting hurts!

J has been pushing his limits lately. Just a few minutes ago he pretended he was going to hit me.

Me: J, hitting hurts.

J: (preemptively trying to get out of trouble) I love you....I hit you.

Meanwhile gives me a kiss and runs off.

Feelings

J fell down today. He started to fake cry. I asked him what was wrong.

"Mommy, I fallin' down. I hurt my feelings."

Shy

While walking into the OB's office today, J hits me with this one:

"Mommy, hold my hand. I'm gonna be shy."

Happy Heart

We had a cardiology appointment today to check baby brother's heart. We told J that it looked really healthy. His response?

"Yay! Baby brother got a heart. We so happy baby brother got a heart!"

I guess we are so happy baby brother has a heart.

Taking Turns

J was picking a snack the other day. He asked for chocolate. I said no. So he picked strawberries instead. Then he said "Mickey pick chocolate. Oh, that's a good pick Mickey!" Nice try buddy. I'm not giving your toy Mickey chocolate just so you can eat it.
